Manage your Password

A password as you know it is typically composed of no more than 10 letters or symbols, or a combination of both. A passphrase is longer than a password and contains spaces in between words, for example: “The road to success is always under construction!” (do not use this example for your password).

Reset your Password

Step 1

Click here to open the password reset page.

You must be on the college network to access this page.

Step 2

Type your email address, current password and then your new password twice. Your new password must contain 10 characters or more.

Step 3

Click Submit, then restart your laptop. Sign in with your new password and you will be prompted for your new password.

Basic Privacy Points

  • Use a password manager like LastPass.

  • Use a different password for each service. For example, don’t use your Facebook password for your school accounts.

  • Never share your password with anyone.

  • Never write your password down on sticky notes etc.

  • Never share/give your staff device to a student.

  • If anyone knows your password reset it immediately.

Forgotten Password

Staff that have forgotten their password need to contact support@shc.tas.edu.au or call the IT Helpesk. Parents that have forgotten their password will need to reset it at reset.shc.tas.edu.au.
